Ketchikan has a rowdy past, and in its heyday the small town boasted nearly 60 bars. The Arctic Bar, aka Home of the Happy Bears, is the oldest holdover from that bygone era. This local institution is as famous for its iconic logo of two bears “frolicking” as it is for its signature Bloody Marys and tasty comfort-food dishes, from burgers to macaroni and cheese.
