Running with wolves
Named for the Alpha males that are this animal park’s very raison d’être, the conservation center ensures the well being of three wolf packs each allotted 3 hectors of land in the Mercantour National Park of the Southern Alps. Wolf sightings depend on the wolves, but there are feedings every 2-3 days that guarantee a lupin visit. There is an animal farm, a restaurant and even some lodgings on-site, making it an easy base to head out and explore the surrounding forest. Nearby Vesubia Mountain Park has an indoor climbing wall, gym and olympic sized pool for rainy day alternatives.
