For travelers in search of a serious adrenaline rush, a trip to the Grand Canyon just got even more enticing. On January 2, the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation launched a zipline attraction that allows adventurous visitors to soar nearly 1,000 feet above a side canyon’s West Rim.

The Zipline at Grand Canyon West, which is expected to accommodate an estimated 350,000 visitors annually, consists of two “quad ziplines.” The first zipline nears 1,100 feet in length. The second is set at a steeper grade and propels guests along a 2,100-foot line. Both ziplines travel at speeds approaching 50 mph and can support four people (between 90 and 275 pounds each) at one time.

“We’re taking the West Rim to a new level of excitement,” Candida Hunter, chairwoman of the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation board of directors, said in a statement. “The zipline at Grand Canyon West gives our guests a unique adrenaline surge that will be one of the longest and most exciting ziplines found anywhere in the world.”

Tickets are $89 per person for adult visitors (available on site only) and include a trip down both ziplines. Open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
