Each piece of exquisite handcrafted jewelry by Cambodian designer Pisith Ly tells a story and if you’re lucky to find him in the store when you visit, he’ll share them with you. This gentle designer fled Cambodia as a young child refugee following the death of his entire family at the hands of the brutal Khmer Rouge. Pisith was lucky to be sponsored by a French family and was educated in fine arts in Paris where he trained and designed for Phillipe Starck and Alain Mikli. The designer returned to Siem Reap to come to terms with the ghosts of his past and his stunning jewellery reflects that process. While the collections change regularly you can generally fine organic-looking pieces made from silver and set with precious gems or incorporating natural materials such as wood and stone.
