In Search of the Aloha Spirit Beyond Hawaii

Aloha has its roots, of course, in the Hawaiian Islands. On one level, it’s simply a Hawaiian word that can mean both hello and goodbye, a universal greeting. It is, however, much more. It also represents an embrace of nature, friendship, and creativity; living life fully and joyously; experiencing one’s connection to all of creation. With OluKai, the aloha spirit travels with you everywhere you might wear their shoes and sandals, but it can also be found in some unexpected corners of the US.
