The Cove at Atlantis, Autograph Collection

1 Casino Drive Paradise Island, NP, The Bahamas

A 600-suite hotel within a hotel, The Cove is the most luxurious of the room towers at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. Kids aren’t banned, but the vibe is definitely grown-up—witness the adults-only Cove Pool, with its DJ-driven party scene, outdoor gaming tables, and mating-ritual pool wear. But there’s a sense of sophistication in the two-story lobby, which soars above ponds of water lilies, as well as the suites, which have balconies with ocean views, sunken living rooms, and marble-floored bathrooms. All the activities of Atlantis, including those that make adults feel young again—such as the Abyss and Leap of Faith waterslides, or the dolphin encounters—are only steps or a free shuttle ride away. Also available is immersive programming that connects guests to the rich history, art, people, food, and festivities of the islands, from exhibits showcasing regional artists and a weekly Junkanoo Fest & Feast (honoring a more than 500-year-old tradition) to five new outposts of beloved local Bahamian restaurants.

The powdery soft, white sand along Cove Beach is the stuff of legend - and in fact may be even more spectacular than you imagined it. Cove Beach is also big enough to allow you and your sweetheart to find a bit of private paradise (all it takes is a little wandering along the sand), and is reserved for guests of The Cove Atlantis - serenity awaits.

Chase Your Sandy Bliss

Atlantis Paradise Island just so happens to sit on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, and claiming some of the sand for your own is as simple as wandering down to the water’s edge and kicking back. Cove Beach, Paradise Lagoon and Atlantis Beach are all within close proximity during your stay, which means chances are, you’ll never wander too far. Perfection.

How’s this for an afternoon at the pool? The Cove Pool is one of the best kept secrets at Atlantis, a spectacular, secluded hideaway for guests of the Cove, and the perfect place to unwind after a long day of... unwinding. Hey, everyone needs a little luxury now and then.

You deserve a pampering now and then - especially while on vacation. Step into the remarkable Mandara Spa at Atlantis for a Balinese-style massage, a dip in the plunge pools, a sauna special, or a few hours in the steam room.

Grand Opening

A delightful evening show-placing the extensive remodeling and upgrading of one of The Bahamas’ finest locations. I’m a neighbor and have been wintering on Eleuthera for over 30 years. The Cove is the best.

Heading back for Sushi!

After a year of promised “talk” we journeyed to The Cove, Gregory Town. Arriving too late for the long dreamed lunch of Sushi, tastes of Ceviche, Grilled Shrimp and Vegetable Spring Rolls pleased the hungry spot. Visual satisfaction surrounded .. the cottages, the gentle rolling grass, the almost static clear blue sea. Promise to return .. Photos: All Rights Reserved - Cookie Kinkead 2014
