A 30-kilometer (19-mile) drive west of Zákinthos Town, the appealing coastal village of Kampi was settled in Mycenaean times. Today Kampi has fewer than 70 residents, but its dramatic cliffs overlooking the Ionian Sea make it a popular spot for watching the sun go down. A massive concrete cross atop the cliff of Shiza honors those who have lost their lives during times of occupation and war. Nearby are two equally charming hamlets: Exo Chora and Ágios Leon, as well as the spectacular Porto Limnionas Beach.
