Fancy a ride down the river to spot crocodiles and take in some wild landscape? You can do just that on the banks of Black River, in southern Jamaica. It’s a popular tourist attraction, but never overrun and with plenty of space to enjoy the hour-long cruise past tall mangrove and fern trees, spotting birds and stopping to watch the guides greet crocodiles. The crocs swim right up and even stick their jaws out while you cringe and wonder if the guide’s hand is about to disappear. It’s a fun day out and a chance to immerse in some of Jamaica’s wildest interior.
