Four Major Hotel Brands Just Merged Their Loyalty Programs Into One

Le Club AccorHotels finally merged the Fairmont, Raffles, and Swissôtel loyalty programs into one after acquiring the hotel brands in 2016. Here’s what’s in it for you.

After acquiring Fairmont, Raffles, and Swissôtel in July 2016, AccorHotels finally integrated the existing Fairmont President’s Club, Raffles Ambassadors, and Swissôtel Circle loyalty programs on July 2 into its own Le Club AccorHotels program to combine the benefits of all four programs for their members.

If you’re already a member of one of these loyalty programs, here’s what it means for you.

The shared perks

The points-based system that Le Club AccorHotels members are familiar with will stay the same, but now you’ll be able to earn points by staying at Fairmont, Raffles, and Swissôtel properties, too. You’ll also be able to use your points for free stays at all of the 3,400 hotel properties in 92 countries, including the luxury Sofitel brand that AccorHotels has owned since 1980.

The experiences and travel perks familiar to members of the Fairmont President’s Club, Swissôtel Circle, and Raffles Ambassadors will also be incorporated into the new Le Club AccorHotels program, so that elite members can enjoy things like welcome drinks, free Wi-Fi, and priority check-in.

As with any merger, Fairmont President’s Club, Swissôtel Circle, and Raffles Ambassadors members might lose more than legacy members of LeClub AccorHotels stand to gain.

Gary Leff, who blogs about loyalty programs at View From the Wing, told Skift that elite members of the Fairmont President’s Club will no longer have guaranteed late checkouts and suite upgrades as part of Le Club AccorHotels.

When it happens

Your membership and status in the Fairmont President’s Club, Swissôtel Circle, and Raffles Ambassador programs will be automatically transitioned on July 2 into a new account with Le Club AccorHotels and will reflect your 2018 status based on your 2017 activity and stays to date in 2018 through the previous loyalty programs.

While typically the Le Club AccorHotels membership program renews each January 1, the status of legacy loyalty members of Fairmont, Swissôtel, and Raffles continues to be valid until December 31, 2019.

How each status will be transitioned

Fairmont President’s Club “Club” status and Swissôtel Circle “Inizia” status will be converted into “Classic” status in Le Club AccorHotels, while Fairmont “Premier” will become “Silver” in Le Club AccorHotels. Swissôtel “Eleva” becomes Le Club AccorHotels “Gold” status, while “Platinum,” “Zenit,” and Raffles “Ambassador” status transitions into Le Club AccorHotels “Platinum” status.
