White Beach Boracay

White Beach, Boracay, Aklan, Philippines

About 4 kilometers long, White Beach is the highlight of Boracay. Its immaculately white and soft sand strand is dotted with resorts, hotels, and lounge chairs where you could spend the happy hour sipping Piña Colada as the sun sets. That is if you’re not aboard one of the many sailboats, a cold beer in hand.

To do or not to do... beachside on Boracay Islands

Waters on the Boracay beach stay relatively warm till the evening, so as long as you don’t forget sunscreen, there’s enough to keep you engaged all day (or actively not engage in anything, too). Perch on the silky white sand and you can soak up the sun or find sea shells and corals. Sit around long enough on the sand and you’re likely to find pearl vendors come by, or nearby resort servers offering a drink. When you’re ready to take a walk, you’ll come across beachside canopies offering massages while you listen to the waves crash, for roughly $15/hr. If you crave excitement of water sports (“flyfish” or banana boating, helmet diving, parasailing, etc) you’ll find some folks who’ll connect you to a business nearby. At night, head to White Beach and you can have dinner on the sand, your table lit by torch light.

Beautiful Island Of Boracay

There are so many islands in the Philippines, its hard to pick just one destination. However, if you want white smooth sand, open blue skies, clear warm water and a ton of water sport activities then Boracay is the island of choice. This hassle free island is only an hour plane ride from Manila’s new terminal 3. Drink and dance the night away! While I was there it happened to be a full moon and there were a dozen of “full moon” themed parties. Honestly all you need to bring to this island is a bathing suit, and flip flops.
