Pigeon Rocks

Chouran Street, بيروت، Lebanon

A stunning set of rocks welcome you to the city of Beirut. Pigeons’ Rock (also known as the Rock of Raouché) is located at Beirut’s western-most tip, the two huge rock formations stand like gigantic sentinels to the city. Locals love to walk along the corniche (seaside promenade) at any time of day, but during sunset it is especially busy. Be sure to go early and stroll the corniche, before finding your perfect spot for viewing the spectacular sunet. Thanks to terrible traffic (typical in Beirut) I just about missed this spectacular sunset - but luckily I got there at last light and was able to snap this pic.
