Petite Terre Islet
There are no inhabitants on Petite Terre, an offshore, protected mini-archipelago made up of two plots, one of which is off-limits for conservation purposes. Terre-de-Bas is open to visitors, home to iguanas, birds, and hermit crabs on land, and a reef-protected shore that makes the islet’s waters abundant with colorful fish, including turtles, and lemon sharks. Day trips leave from the shores of Saint Francois to the white sand beaches of Terre-de-Bas on Petite Terre, ideal for a day of swimming, snorkeling, spotting wildlife, hiking to a lighthouse, and enjoying an on site lunch and drinks.
