Freelance journalist Kay West began her writing career in New York City, and since moving south, covers food and hospitality as a regular contributor to publications in Asheville, Nashville, Charlotte, and regionally in the Southeast. She has twice received First Place, Food Writing, in the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies annual awards.
