At 750 meters (2,460 feet), this peak rises high above Mindelo and, on clear days, offers panoramic views of the city and its magnificent bay, the village of Baía das Gatas, and the arid slopes and rugged coastline of São Vicente. Accessible via a tour or by car (taxi or rental), the summit is known to be very windy and the roadway to the top has many steep drop-offs, twists and turns, so think twice if you’re prone to motion sickness.
