Starting at the entrance of Halifax Harbour, the trail to Duncan’s Cove runs along the coast and makes for an easy hike with just a few hilly sections. The seven-kilometer (four-mile) hike is one of the most scenic in Halifax, with rugged landscapes covered in granite boulders and wild blueberry. While out and about, scour the shores for basking seals and the bunkers that are vestiges of World War II, and check the seas for pilot whales and porpoises.
