Cambridge Beaches Resort & SpaOne of Bermuda’s most historic resorts—there’s even a 300-year-old sea captain’s cottage on the property—Cambridge Beaches is a traditional rose-hued confection that matches its four pink-sand shores. Though an English country club vibe prevails in many of the public spaces (think tennis whites and croquet on the lawn), the rooms are anything but stuffy, outfitted with vibrant coral and lime-green sofas, zebra-striped rugs, and in some rooms, private plunge pools. Relaxation can be found in the marine-sourced treatments on offer at the Ocean Spa, but if you’re looking to excite the palate, the acclaimed Tamarisk restaurant plates up local takes on creole specialties, from the iconic Bermudan fish chowder to fresh-caught lobster baked in garlic and coconut oil.

Romantic Resorts: Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa
Modern and traditional décor combined with refreshing color combinations bring an inviting touch to the rooms, suites, and cottages at Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa. Overlooking peaceful Mangrove Bay, the property is surrounded by lush gardens and the sapphire waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel’s western address - and proximity to a variety of beaches - puts it in a prime position for spectacular sunsets. If you’re seeking the perfect secluded spot for a destination wedding or honeymoon hideaway, Cambridge Beaches is it. Private patios, a sparkling infinity pool, and candle-lit dinners on the beach will be some of the best memories you bring home. The spa offers the finest European products as well as sea salt exfoliation, anti-aging marine facials, and other luxurious treatments.

There’s no moment of the day more glorious than sunrise, but because I can’t get my bum out of bed early enough to see it, I’ll settle for its not-so-shabby little sister sunset. Most locals will tell you that it’s impossible to choose a favorite sunset spot, because it’s magnificent everywhere you turn. But a local photographer tells me that hers is Cambridge Beaches. They have two restaurants, one facing east for moonrises and the other facing west for sunsets on the beach. Just when you think the sky couldn’t get any more beautiful, you see its twin mirrored on the water. Heaven.
