SufraLocated in the heart of Amman's popular Rainbow Street, Sufra is a restaurant worth making an early reservation for. It's home is a gorgeous early 20th century stone villa, with shady garden terraces providing the perfect backdrop the traditional Jordanian menu. The undoubted star of the show is mansaf, a filling dish of lamb slow cooked in a yoghurt sauce, served with rice and a shower of toasted nuts. It's a traditional Jordanian Bedouin dish that easy to over-indulge in – beware expanding stomachs and don't wear anything too tight if you're going to fully enjoy. Lighter eaters will get on just as well with the spectacular array of mezze and fresh juices; long weekend brunches are something of a Sufra institution.
