Southeast Botanical Gardens

These wonderful gardens feature over 30,000 specimens of local and exotic flora (including 1,300 species of tree) as well as a petting zoo with spider monkeys, goats and capybaras, all connected via picturesque walkways, canals, gates and bridges. There are regular educational programs for both adults and children—treasure hunts, handicraft workshops—and you can either dine at the restaurant here or bring your own picnic. There is also a small gift shop on-site.
