Near Olinda’s Sé Cathedral, the Mercado de Artesanato do Alto da Sé is a fine handicrafts market whose shops sell delicate handbags made from golden grass and coconut fibers, as well as an elegant local embroidery. Young dancers there also perform the popular frevo dance for tourists.
