Maui Swap Meet
The island’s largest open market turns 40 in 2021. It sprawls over the University of Hawaii
Maui College campus, creating a lively scene with over 200 vendors. Many of Maui’s boutiques sell their wares here, but at a deeper discount than the brick-and-mortar stores. Browse for muumuus, wood carvings and other handmade crafts like bone and shell jewelry. Or savor a shave ice, as you peruse piles of lei, island-grown fruits and homemade baked goods. The swap meet is especially strong on street food. Don’t miss the spam kebabs, banana bread and goji kombucha. Open from 7am–1pm Saturdays only.
