The Liarsville Gold Rush Camp at the foot of White Pass got its name from the journalists who concocted tall tales set here during the days of the gold rush. A visit to the camp typically starts with a fish bake featuring fresh wild salmon. Then you can continue on to explore the old trail camp and the gold fields where a gold-panning station lets prospectors-to-be try their luck. A melodrama at the camp’s theater features actors dressed as sourdoughs, dance-hall girls and “the bard of the Yukon,” Robert Service.
