The Klondike Highway is a scenic modern highway that parallels the path once taken by prospectors in 1898: It runs from Skagway to Whitehorse and Dawson City, both in Canada’s Yukon Territory. A drive along this road will take you past many Skagway-area attractions, including the Gold Rush Cemetery, the Klondike Gold Fields and the ghost town of Dyea. Farther out of town, the highway provides access to a number of trails and waterfalls as well as the famous Yukon Suspension Bridge over the border in Canada.
