Lake 69 is a large aquamarine lake at 4650 meters above sea level. It lies at the end of the Demanda Valley, the continuation of the Llanganuco Gorge. The lake's pure color and crystalline waters led this place a near-mystical beauty. Getting here is no easy feat, with a cold, four-hour trek at high altitude, but the view is well-worth the journey. The lake also features a large waterfall plunging down from the glacier, which is sometimes frozen.

Laguna 69 Hike
One of the most difficult hikes I've ever done, due to the altitude. It was worth it at the top though!

Laguna (Lake) 69
The view you're rewarded with if you make it to the top of the hike! Laguna 69 is a glacial lake, which means it's freezing cold and the color comes from minerals in the water. Breathtaking.
