Del Corazón de la Tierra

227 Calle Independencia

Del Corazón de la Tierra (Heart of the Earth), was my favorite store in Tlaquepaque. It has a great vibe, lovely helpful staff and a beautiful array of authentic, higher end pieces (furniture, table top, clothes). The space consists of individual rooms, each curated a little differently. Sometimes you can find artisans and. in this case one of the high shamans, a Marakame of the Huicholes, selling their own creations there. It’s not a place to find low cost keepsakes, but one of a kind works and quality merchandise that tap into centuries of indigenous craftsmanship. A local friend told me that the shop’s owner walks through it in the mornings just before it opens its doors, to bless the space, and welcome strangers. >>>Muchas gracias to the hardworking teams at Guadalajara Tourism and PHG Consulting for a fun filled 4 days in Guadalajara, Mexico. @gotoguadalajara #visitguadalajara
