Potoroo Palace is a nonprofit animal sanctuary where travelers can get acquainted with the kangaroos, emus and peacocks that roam freely throughout the park as well as local species such as the eastern gray kangaroo, the swamp wallaby, the bare-nosed wombat and the long-nosed potoroo (which looks like a miniature wallaby crossed with a rat). Immersive “encounters” with the likes of a dingo, koala or snake cost extra. Stop by the café for veggies and eggs harvested on-site.
