Smoky Mountain Knife Works

2320 Winfield Dunn Pkwy, Sevierville, TN 37876, USA

In the days before TSA checkpoints, it was much more popular to carry a pocketknife around with you at all times. The practice may have gone out of fashion, but its legacy lives on at Smoky Mountain Knife Works. What started in the 1970s as two friends selling pocketknives from the back of their pickup trucks has grown into the largest cutlery store in the world, with more than a million annual visitors. In addition to museum-quality vintage knives, swords, and artifacts, the showroom offers just about any cutting tool you can imagine, plus knife-sharpening services for a nominal fee. It’s a tourist attraction in its own right, with an incredible collection of taxidermy on display, but also worth visiting if you’re in need of a new Swiss Army knife.
