Orcas Island Pottery

338 Old Pottery Rd, Eastsound, WA 98245, USA

There’s a fairytale-like quality to Orcas Island Pottery, accessible by driving through old-growth woods from Eastsound and then following a short flower-canopied walkway. It opens up to reveal an expansive yard with pottery displayed on picnic tables and wooden building exteriors as well as ceramic blooms and insects stuck into the grass. Views of President’s Channel below, a swing set, and a tree house worthy of the Swiss Family Robinson only add to the sense of surprise and delight as you wander the grounds. The wares themselves reflect the handiwork and varied styles of guest and studio potters, including the third-generation owner Syd Exton.
