The Christmas Market is happening in several locations this year, in the Grote Markt, Beurs, Sint-Katelijneplein and Vismarkt. The ferris wheel is in Sint-Katelijneplein as well as a large ice skating rink, a merry-go-round and many, many Christmas chalets. The ferris wheel is 55 m tall and offers a bird’s eye view of the market for the price of five euro. The market is very crowded but civilized, there is no pushing, people just walk slow making two direction lanes between the chalets. Not a lot of fun when you don’t like crowds but it’s worth being there anyway. There is great food being sold, oyster, caviar and champagne being offered by a lot of vendors. Sweets like cotton candy, churros and croustillon (tiny doughnuts) and many more.
