John T. Edge is an author, journalist, and television host. His books include The Potlikker Papers: A Food History of the Modern South, and his TV work includes the Emmy Award–winning TrueSouth show. He has won James Beard Foundation awards for his food writing, was the founding director of the Southern Foodways Alliance, and is the director of the University of Mississippi’s creative humanities project MS Lab.
