Experience Regeneration and Rejuvenation at the Salamander Spa at Innisbrook
From the moment I walked into the Salamander Spa at the Innisbrook Resort I felt at peace. The spa is nestled under sprawling live oaks festooned with spanish moss. Large windows and skylights bring in natural light that complements the soothing sea foam green and sand colored rooms. Delicate scents and instrumental music centered me and prepared me for my relaxing massage. I chose the Salamander Signature Ritual massage which started with a scalp massage and ended with a exfoliating foot scrub. Rich body creams were used for the body massage and left my skin silky smooth. Scented eco-grade essential oils, hot towels and hot stones were used to complement the massage experience. My massage therapist was very careful to make sure I was in a comfortable position at all times and she was able to adjust the table in a myriad of ways to make me perfectly comfortable. I felt completely rejuvenated and at peace following the massage. There are twelve large treatment rooms used for massages, body treatments, and facials. A light-filled lounge with comfy lounge chairs and ottomans are available while waiting for services or afterwards to relax after treatment. An indoor steam room and whirlpool and an outdoor garden sitting area with chaise lounges. All facilities are available to use for the entire day when you receive a spa service. Food servicecan be arranged during your visit. The Salamander Spa is located within the Innisbrook Golf and Resort in Palm Harbor about 45 minutes north of Tampa. It is open to both guests of the resort as well as guests from outside the resort with a reservation. I have lived in nearby St Pete for 7 years and never knew that the spa was open to non-resort guests. I do now. I will be back for sure.
