Huatulco’s Río Copalita has Class I and II rapids, and adventurous travelers can take a 60- to 90-minute paddle-and-float excursion. Before setting off, a guide will provide life jackets and a safety orientation. Along the way, the guide might also offer narration about the scenery, pointing out and naming local flora and fauna. During rainy season, rapids can toss riders about a bit; during drier times of the year, the Copalita tends to be a gentle float.
