Ørland Airport

Ørland, Norway

This tiny local airport sits at the end of the Fosen Peninsula with water on three sides. Besides offering one passenger flight to Oslo, the airport functions as an important NATO air base operated by the Royal Norwegian Air Force. The runway’s low altitude means you may catch a glimpse of a plane approaching right above the fjord. The nearby town of Brekstad is home to 2,000 people and linked to Trondheim and Kristiansund by fast ferries.
