Increase awareness among millennial travelers for Washington DC as a destination for music — highlighting the city’s unique musical history, exciting cultural and nightlife scene, and unique travel experiences.

The Solution

To bring the soul of Washington DC to life, Afar partnered with premier global music community Sofar Sounds to produce two live music events in key feeder markets. For one night only, we brought emerging artists directly from DC to perform for young, influential audiences in Brooklyn and Miami. At each event, we created immersive installations and programming that recreated the sights, sounds, and tastes of DC to pique travelers’ curiosity.
