  • 492 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI 02840, USA
A relatively new addition on stately Bellevue Avenue, this museum opened in 1998 in one of Newport’s historic mansions, Vernon Court, with adjacent grounds designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. The collection focuses primarily on the period from the 1870s to the 1950s and includes works by Maxfield Parrish, Norman Rockwell, Charles Dana Gibson, Howard Pyle and N.C. Wyeth, among other artists of that time, so look for familiar Saturday Evening Post covers, enlistment posters and works of art that have become part of our cultural fabric.
