The Roof of Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro

List View
Map View
Several routes lead up to Kilimanjaro's snowy Uhuru or Kibo peaks, including Rongai, Marangu, Lemosho, Shira, Machame, and Umbwe. Whichever way you chose to climb Africa's highest mountain, it's an incredible and rewarding feat, never forgotten by those who attempt it. If you have time, opt for one of the longer climbs, such as the Lemosho or Northern routes, which offer longer acclimatization periods and fewer groups on the trails.
