Lima has been a capital city for almost 500 years now: from the first days of the Spanish Vice Kingdom to the metropolis of almost 10 million people it is today. It can be chaotic sometimes, but there´s plenty of charm and history to discover, and it's easy enough to find places to relax. Sometimes, visitors leave Lima out of their route on their way to Cusco and Machu Picchu. But Lima really does deserve a few days for exploring and falling in love with.
