Texas In Bloom
Collected by Texas Tourism
The Lone Star State comes alive with color in the spring. Fields throughout much of Texas are dotted with the vibrant hues of the bluebonnet (the state flower), the reds of Indian paintbrushes, and wildflowers galore. It’s common to see cars pulled over along the sides of highways, families and children tiptoeing with care through the wildflowers, to pose for a family portrait. The state is also home to unique gardens that offer year-round introductions to Texas horticulture.
