While I have yet to live in San Francisco proper, I have worked in the city for five years. The Golden Gate has become a bookend to many of my days and nights. My relationship with the city has been a balance of feeling part local and part foreigner--I understand the lines of the city, it's roads, it's landmarks, and rhythms, yet part of me will always be exploring and discovering the city with the eyes of an outsider still awed by surprise vistas and small local finds.San Fran has a sweet side!

This place is tiny, but it's one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. The menu is small so there are only a few choices, but no matter what you get, you'll be happy. Make sure to try the iced coffee. It's made with chicory, the way it's done...
