If you order the mint tea at Cafe Mogador, on Manhattan's lower east side--and you should--be forewarned that it is very sweet. We asked for half-sweet and that was plenty, even for a sweet tooth like me. So good.

A few steps from the Murray Hill stop on the LIRR, you'll find cool Korean bars and restaurants. The Soju is essential, the fried beef delicious--don't skimp on the sauce--and the barley water? I'd say it's an acquired taste.
