One of my travel dreams is to visit sanctuaries around the world where I can get up-close-and-personal with a place's natural inhabitants: I want to cuddle pandas in China, hug lion cubs in Africa & go to elephant rescue centers in Thailand. I did realize a life-long dream when I spent time with koalas in Australia; I'll never forget their musty, eucalyptus cologne-like scent & the way I burrowed my hands in their fur. We share a special connection to animals, and I want to experience it all!

Zoo, Xicheng, China, 100037
Traveling to Beijing over the Christmas holiday wasn't exactly my wisest decision. Despite ultra-warm layers, thickly-lined boots, and a massive scarf large enough to protect most of my face, the biting cold stymied my ability to hit all the spots...
