- 2 / 1210. ABOARD THE TRAIN TO YANGONYangon, Myanmar
This slow, trundling train from Yangon to Mandalay runs over the old British-built colonial rails and is a wonderful way to experience the country at ground level and hang out with the locals. There’s no air conditioning, even in the "upper class" carriage, which is almost an advantage because the windows are open for cool breezes, giving passengers unrivaled views of the Myanmar countryside during the 15-hour ride.
- 3 / 129. PEACE IN THE TEMPLES OF BAGANBagan, Myanmar
It's a popular tourist activity to climb the temples and pagodas of Bagan to watch sunsets and sunrises, but some of the most beautiful moments can be found in the lesser-visited Buddhist temples of Bagan. (Love the last two shots? See more of @troylitten's stunning design-focused trip takeover from Myanmar here.)
