    Candy Colored Homes
    Candy Colored Homes
Downtown Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, is designated a UNESCO World Heritage site and filled with dozens of candy-colored houses, plus such famous landmarks as Fort Amsterdam, the marina, the oldest surviving synagogue in the Americas, the floating market of Venezuelan merchants, and the floating bridge that connects Punda to Otrobanda. But Handelskade, this stretch of photogenic buildings along the bustling waterfront, is probably the most visited site on the whole island (or at the least, the most photographed).

    Desert Oasis Dream
    Desert Oasis Dream
The mystical town of Huacachina is an oasis nestled in one of the driest places on earth—a barren desert in central Peru. The lake is believed by some to have healing powers, and in the 1940s, wealthy Peruvians would travel to the location to bathe in its waters. Today, Huacachina is a popular destination for tourists looking to explore the desert's dunes—you can even sandboard down them, if you dare!

    Welcome To Curaçao
    Welcome To Curaçao
On this dreamy Caribbean island, you’ll not only find a diverse mix of nationalities—the island, a territory of the Netherlands, has Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, and indigenous ties—but you’ll also discover the architecture is as varied as the people, each building in varying shades of pastels. Fun fact: The islanders change the exteriors’ colors every year or two—which means that when you later return to the island, the scenery (like this row of homes along the hillside in Pietermaai) will likely look very different.
