ZugspitzeFun, fast, and furious sledding reaches new heights in the Zugspitze region of the Bavarian Alps. Head to Hörnle for a three-mile groomed run that includes daring drops surrounded by snow-dusted Alpine trees. In Kranzberg, the official run only goes for a mile, but there’s also a wide sledding area for freestyling families. For those with a penchant for night sledding, the Partnachaim lodge keeps its 2.4 miles of mountain trails illuminated until 8 p.m.
