We've been on a global "cafe hop" for four months now - sipping an espresso in just about every place our bags land.
It's not just the coffee that lures us in, but the culture that comes with it - the art of steeping/sipping/stirring coffee all while passionately discussing politics and current events.
Nowhere is this cafe culture more evident than in Sarajevo, Bosnia. In fact, Bosnians love their coffee so much that they rank number ten on Wikipedia's "List of Countries by Coffee Consumption per Capita". Many of the locals we met average eight to ten cups per day - now, that's a lot of coffee!
In this coffee crazed environment, the absolute mecca, creme of the crop, best of the best cafe lives - Zlatna Ribica. With hip baristas, on point music, eccentric decor and hands down the best brew that has ever touched my lips - Zlatna Ribica is truly lights out.
