Qiongya Architecture
Qiongya (琼崖) is the historical name for Hainan Island, and this village/compound is an amazing representation of Qiongya architecture.

The residence of a feudal lord's family, the collection of buildings was initially built in the late Qing dynasty and showcases interesting details like hand-carved red floor tiles. It is a preserved historical sight and tour groups often visit, as it was the site of a semi-famous Chinese film from the 1960s called Red Detachment of Women (红色娘子军).
