Zarafa, an intimate 8 guest camp, is located within the Selinda concession a large 320,000 acre private reserve on the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta. The camp's owners include renowned conservationists Derek and Beverly Joubert, so it comes as no surprise that the emphasis is on eco-friendliness at this camp. Power is generated by a nearby solar farm and water is treated by UV filtration, making this a very low-impact experience. That doesn't mean it's without it's luxury perks: the camp's large permanent tents feature private plunge pools and outdoor showers. You'll spend your mornings and evenings on safari, of course, but during your off hours you might want to take a guided walk or an evening cruise on their houseboat “HMS Zib”. If you're not an avid photographer, you will be once you try out the Canon 40D camera and the different lenses that come with each tent (and don't worry, you get to take your photos with you).
