The people of Taiwan's southeastern region of Taitung are known for their expertise with medicinal herbs, and the Yuan Sen Applied Botanical Garden combines the best of this tradition with biotechnology and ecotourism. After a day of sightseeing in this lush, tranquil setting, hot pot is a relaxing and satisfying treat.
Inside the garden's on-site restaurant, guests can choose from extraordinarily fresh goodies such as leafy greens, hearty root vegetables, sliced meats, seafood, and noodles. Each diner is given a pot of simmering broth in which to cook selected ingredients. You also create your own dipping sauce by combining soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, ginger, garlic, scallions, raw egg, and more.
Hot pot is a perfect evening with friends and family—healthy, fresh, and filling food that is fun to prepare!
