Yolk's Restaurant and Commissary is not the fanciest place in town, but they do offer one of the city's best brunches.
The specialty is Eggs Benedict - as the restaurant name refers to their pursuit of the perfect poached egg. However, no Yolk's experience is complete without the hash browns, flavored with truffle oil and lemon.
Pictured is the duck confit, one of the rotating list of specials. The meat is flavorful and tender, accented by a light Dijon to accompany the hollandaise.
The restaurant is a couple of kilometers east of the downtown core in Strathcona, one of the 'next' up and coming neighborhoods.
