Yokohama's Chinatown is Japan's largest, developing quickly after the city's port opened to foreign trade in 1859. It teems with restaurants offering steamed buns and myriad noodle dishes. But just as appealing are the illuminated decorations around and above the hundreds of shops crammed along the narrow, winding streets, making a nighttime stroll a dazzling visual feast.
