Yeomiji Botanical Garden and Observatory Tower
One of Asia’s most famous botanical gardens, Yeomiji boasts a collection of plants that includes more than 2,000 species—largely tropical and subtropical—that thrive in the moist, warm climate of Jeju. In addition to a garden focused on plants native to the island, there are Chinese, Korean, French and Italian areas that highlight the common plant species in each of those countries while illustrating different approaches to garden design. The garden’s 38-meter-tall Observatory Tower offers views of the nearby Cheonjeyeon Falls, Hallasan and the southern coast of Jeju.
